Re: Monitoring Well Sampling Parameters at the- Closed Francis Farm Landfill (Permit # 44-03)
Dear Mr. Walker,
Closed landfills are required to sample monitoring wells for the attached list of parameters. This
requirement was part of the post closure conditions for the Fancis Farm landfill and was cited in
the closure letter of December 13, 1995.
The last sampling data (February 26, 1996) was for the old list of detection monitoring
parameters. Starting with the neat regularly scheduled sampling episode, please have the well
samples analyzed for attached list of monitoring parameters. It includes 8 RCRA metals and an
analysis for volatile organic compounds. Temperature, pH, and specific conductivity should also
be measured for all samples.
Thank you for your cooperation. I understand that you may not have been aware of this
requirement and may not have seen a copy of the closure letter since the letter was not addressed
to you. If you have any questions, please call me at (919) 733-0692, ext. 257.

arry Rose
