Methane Gas Recovery Wells Guidance — McDowell Co.

• Sealed around pipe (no differential settling around methane pipe penetration of
cap - to prevent water infiltration to the LF)
• Water should flow away f rom pipe, good drainage (to prevent water infiltration
to the LF)
• Vent should be capped if they want, or protect with "windmill cap" to protect
from vandalism
No source of spark or flame
Signs telling that there are methane recovery wells on site: no open flames, etc.
