A Construction & Demolition landfill is not permitted to receive for disposal Municipal Solid Waste WSW). During the Landfill Audit several bags containing MSW and a number of opened empty soup cans, household trash and what appeared to be a diaper were found partially buried in the C&D Landfill. To correct this violation all visible non C&D waste need to be collected and removed to the transfer station. Screening of C&D waste loads needs to begin immediately to prevent further Violations. You are hereby advised that, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $5,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Statute or Regulations.
