The lettering shall include the firm name, town name, phone number, and septage management firm permit number as shown on the firm application. All lettering required by this Rule on the pumper vehicle shall be no less than three inches in height and legible, distinguishable from the background and not obstructed from view. Part of the firm name (Environmental) was less than three inches on both sides of two vehicles that were inspected – tag#M7173 & tag#K079219. Replace the lettering (“Environmental” at three inches or greater) on both sides of these two vehicles & submit photos (by November 24th) showing the corrective action. Inspected three vehicles - tag#NK1701, tag#K079219 & tag#M7173. The tanks on all three vehicles appear structurally sound & securely attached. Outlet covers were on and no drips/leaks were noted. A lettering issue was noted on two of the vehicles as listed on the front page of this report. However, the lettering was correct on both sides of the vehicle tag#NK1701 per info on the firm application. 2. The firm renewal process is currently under way. Ensure that the firm application has the correct tag & VIN numbers for all vehicles to be covered under the 2022 firm permit. 3. Reviewed the truck pumping logs & discussed the required information to be maintained for each septage pump job performed by this firm. Ensure that the full physical location is listed for each pump job and also the specific facility/WWTP used for final disposal. 4. Thank you for your time. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
