Compliance Inspection
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS
None.
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS
None.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
As per 15A NCAC 13B .0563 (6), notified LCID landfills need to be properly closed or obtain a permit from the Division
of Waste Management by January 1, 2026. IfNCDOT no longer wishes to utilize the LCID, written notification requesting
closure must be submitted to the Section.
1. The overgrown vegetation, including trees along the eastern side slope, had been removed. Good Job!
2. The previously identified uncovered inert debris had been covered.
3. No unacceptable wastes were observed on the landfill. The previously identified tire and metal have been
removed. Good Job!
4. No areas of standing water were observed during this inspection. Previously identified low-lying areas had been
filled and graded to shed water. The areas had also been seeded.
5. A sign is posted on the gate at the entrance showing the contact name and number in case of emergency.
6. The access road is of all-weather construction and appears to be properly maintained.
7. Edge of Waste Markers (EOWMs) had been installed and were identified during this inspection.
8. A large mound of soil that may be from ditch cleaning, was located to the west of the notified LCIDLF. No
unacceptable wastes were observed in the soil pile during this inspection. Continue to remove and properly
dispose of the unacceptable wastes from the soil on a frequent basis.
9. Digital photographs were taken during the inspection.
