None noted on the previous inspection.
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
NONE
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1) This facility consists of three above ground steel tanks with capacities of 8,000, 12,900, and 16,000
gallons for the storage and treatment of septage.
2) “No Trespassing” signs present. This meets the requirement of Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0838(k).
3) Access road to tank in good shape and meets the requirement of Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0838(b).
4) Tank accessible for inspection. Some vegetation growing up between the 12,900-gallon tank and the
16,000-gallon round tank. Be sure to keep the vegetation down so the walls of the tanks can be seen.
5) No active leaks noticed from the tanks however, there were rusty streaks noticed along the side walls for
both the 8,000- and 12,900-gallon tanks. Rust areas need to be checked and patched to prevent any
leaks.
6) There was some crusty material under the 8,000-gallon tank. Material may be from previous spill.
Please clean up material and watch for any spills. If a spill occurs, it should be cleaned up immediately.
7) No vector or odor issues noticed as covered within Rules 15A NCAC 13B .0838(e)(2) and .0838(g).
8) No change noticed that would affect setback distances.
9) Looked over records to give guidance as to documenting the decanting of the grease septage. See
attached example.
