Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. Discussed the inspection process, permit & rules with Mr. Ivey. Discussed past inspections & issues. 2. Leachate was dripping from the dump truck onto the concrete pad & slightly dripping onto the adjacent ground surface. Discussed with Mr. Ivey that liquid, solids or debris from septage waste shall not drip or be spilled onto the ground surface at this site. Discussed that any spills or leaks shall be immediately cleaned up & measures taken to prevent future accidents. No significant spills or leaks were noted during this visit. Mr. Ivey stated that he wished to switch out the current drip bucket to a larger size at the valve connection for flex hoses from discharging pump trucks. 3. The concrete pit was mostly cleaned out and no septage waste spills were noted on the adjacent ground surface. 4. The tanks appear structurally sound. The approved setbacks are being met. 5. The required 5 foot cleared radius (free of excess vegetation or debris) around the tanks & concrete pit is present at this time. 6. The required signs are posted and the access road is adequate.
