ErMINIA!"044G. INC 85 Kwik Mart Monitoring Report Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina April 1, 2021 Incident#: 13401 Page 4 2.0 CONCLUSIONS + Dissolved phase constituents of concern were detected in concentrations exceeding the NCDEQ NCAC 15A 2L.0202 standards (2L Standards) in monitoring wells MW-4A, MW- 5, and DW-1 during the February 2021 sampling event. • 1, 2-dichloroethane (1, 2-DCA) was detected over the NCDEQ gross contaminant level (GCL) in monitoring well MW-5. • Free product was not detected during this monitoring period. When compared to the August 2020 sampling event, the overall concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) has decreased in monitoring well MW-4A. • When compared to the February 2020 sampling event, the overall concentration of VOCs has remained relatively the same in monitoring well DW-1. + When compared to the February 2020 sampling event, the overall concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) has decreased in monitoring well MW-5. ■ The 1,2-DCA concentration in water supply well WSW -Ring Power Crane remain below the 2L Standard since the August 2019 sampling event. • Dissolved phase constituents of concern remained below laboratory analytical detection limits (Non -Detect [ND]) for the sample collected from monitoring well MW-8AR during the February 2021 sampling event. 3.0 RECOMMENDATIONS • Continue sampling of groundwater on a semi-annual basis as required by the NCDEQ in the NORR dated July 18, 2013 [MW-4A, MW-5, MW-8AR, MW-15A (ifpossible) and DW-1] and recommend including the sampling of WSW -Ring Power Crane, with the next event report due by September 2021. • Looking at the historical groundwater analytical results for MW-15A, Shield recommends drilling another monitoring well in place of MW-15A. &SHIELD 85 Kwik Mart Monitoring Report Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina April 1, 2021 Incident#: 13401 Page 5 4.0 STATEMENTS & CERTIFICATION 1 Enter the date the monitoring report was due. 3/31/21. ND - Not Detected at or above adjusted reporting limit. TNTC - Too Numerous To Count J - Estimated concentration above the adjusted method detection limit and below the adjusted reporting limit. MDL -Adjusted Method Detection Limit. PQL - Practical Quantitation Limit. RL - Reporting Limit - The lowest concentration value that meets project requirements for quantitative data with known precision and bias for a specific analyte in a specific matrix. S - Surrogate 1,2-Diphenylhydrazine decomposes to and cannot be separated from Azobenzene using Method 8270. The result for each analyte is a combined concentration. Consistent with EPA guidelines, unrounded data are displayed and have been used to calculate % recovery and RPD values. LCS(D) - Laboratory Control Sample (Duplicate) MS(D) - Matrix Spike (Duplicate) DUP - Sample Duplicate RPD - Relative Percent Difference NC - Not Calculable. SG - Silica Gel - Clean -Up U - Indicates the compound was analyzed for, but not detected. Acid preservation may not be appropriate for 2 Chloroethylvinyl ether. A separate vial preserved to a pH of 4-5 is recommended in SW846 Chapter 4 for the analysis of Acrolein and Acrylonitrile by EPA Method 8260. N-Nitrosodiphenylamine decomposes and cannot be separated from Diphenylamine using Method 8270. The result reported for each analyte is a combined concentration. Pace Analytical is TNI accredited. Contact your Pace PM for the current list of accredited analytes. TNI -The NELAC Institute. ANALYTE QUALIFIERS E Analyte concentration exceeded the calibration range. The reported result is estimated. M1 Matrix spike recovery exceeded QC limits. Batch accepted based on laboratory control sample (LCS) recovery.
