ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The Septage Land Application Site consists of Field 1 with 5.9 acres and Field 2 with 6.9 acres for a total of 12.8 acres. 2. The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage and portable toilet waste. 3. The site is located on Union Church Rd. (SR-1364) and has accessible all-weather roads to the septage land application field covered under the permit.
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

4. The fields had been recently harvested. Boundary markers must be immediately replaced when necessary. 5. A recent land application was observed crossing from Field 1 to Field 2 (see photo below). The fields need to be managed separately in regards to harvest and land application.
Field 1 (left) Field 2 (right) 6. All septage discharges must be within the disposal area boundary. 7. No evidence of standing liquid or pooled waste was observed. 8. No objectionable odors were observed. 9. Appropriate signage was displayed at the entrance. 10. The Fall 2020 soil sampling was received.
