No permit required. PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Routine Facility Compliance Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 3 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 – This was the Second Facility Inspection since YWN was issued. 02 – Facility has Fencing, Locking Gate and staff on-site during open hours. 03 – Facility has adequate signage. Needs emergency contact number in the event of a fire and could add YWN-28-003 to signage. This was noted on the March 04, 2021 initial Inspection. Mr. Norris is to put the already made sign up and send John College pictures. 04 – Facility road is constructed of all-weather materials. 05 – This Facility is only use for storage. No processing is done on-site. 06 – Vegetative waste is brought in and put on the ground by Public Works and citizens, then loaded into containers the same day by the Public Works staff. 07 – Containers are taken to one of two approved facilities in Dare County for processing, YWN-28-002 or 2803-CDLF_1995. 08 – Waste on-site during this inspection is in need of removal. Staffing issues has slowed down the removal process. 09 – All COVID-19 requirements were followed during this inspection. 10 – Overall management of this facility looks really good. 11 – Digital pictures were taken and some are attached to this report.
