The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 – This was the Second Facility Inspection since YWN was issued.
02 – Facility has Fencing, Locking Gate and staff on-site during open hours. 03 – Facility has adequate signage. Needs emergency contact number in the event of a fire and could add YWN-28-003 to signage. This was noted on the March 04, 2021 initial Inspection. Mr. Norris is to put the already made sign up and send John College pictures. 04 – Facility road is constructed of all-weather materials. 05 – This Facility is only use for storage. No processing is done on-site. 06 – Vegetative waste is brought in and put on the ground by Public Works and citizens, then loaded into containers the same day by the Public Works staff. 07 – Containers are taken to one of two approved facilities in Dare County for processing, YWN-28-002 or 2803-CDLF_1995. 08 – Waste on-site during this inspection is in need of removal. Staffing issues has slowed down the removal process. 09 – All COVID-19 requirements were followed during this inspection. 10 – Overall management of this facility looks really good.
