Dear Mr. Cotton
On August 17, 2021, John College, representing the State of North Carolina, Division of Waste Management
Solid Waste Section (Section) conducted a compliance inspection on 4602T-TRANSFER-1995 owned by Hertford County, North Carolina. At the time of the inspection, Section staff observed that Waste was being stored on the
ground in front of the Transfer Station outside of the containment area and reportedly had been stored on the
tipping floor for several days due to equipment issues. It is my understanding that the County has corrected the
violations noted during the inspection.
This letter serves to confirm that the requirements of the Observed Violations dated August 17, 2021 have been
satisfied and the violation(s) have been corrected. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any
questions or require my assistance in the future, please feel free to contact me at 919-268-1524 or e-mail @
