ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. Currently, the Septage Land Application Site consists of Field A.1 (3.5 acres), Field A.2 (9.4 acres), Field B.1 (2.9 acres) and Field B (8.3 Acres) for a total of 24.1 acres. All four fields are established in fescue.
2. The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage (including portable toilet waste) and grease trap pumpings.
3. The site had accessible all-weather roads to the septage land application field covered under the permit.
4. Appropriate signage was displayed at entrance to the site. 5. All fields had disposal area boundaries that were delineated with permanent markers. A small area of Fields B2 and A1 have been recently regraded but not seeded. This area will need to be repaired. Missing boundary markers must be replaced. 6. Field B1 was observed in good condition. 7. Field A1 has not been used in a long time and contained cattle. 8. Bailed hay must be removed from fields before resuming land application.
9. In all the fields, the Nutrient Management Plan (NMP) requires areas with less than 90% ground coverage of fescue be reseeded.
10. No objectionable odors were observed.
11. Land application records were reviewed. As a reminder, all items on the “Septage Land Application Log” must be filled out for each field. A blank copy of the log is included with this report. 12. The Fall 2020 soil sampling results have been received.
