ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. On August 11, 2021 a complaint was received concerning offensive odors and mosquitoes from neighboring property at 482 John Teague Road. There was also concern about parking pumper vehicles close to the property, not covering the tanks and hoses hanging out of the tanks.
2. The Septage Detention and Treatment facility (SDTF) consists of three above ground 3,500-gallon steel tanks for storage of domestic septage and portable toilet waste only.
3. The tanks appeared to be structurally sound.
4. No objectionable odors were observed during the inspection. No mosquitoes were observed during the inspection from the tanks. The area around the detention and treatment area was observed to be free of spills and debris. Under current regulations, the tanks are not required to be covered. In addition, there is no
requirement where pumper vehicles may be parked on property controlled by a septage firm. 5. Hoses were observed at the tanks (see photo); however, no septage was observed on the ground.
