OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: NONE The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1) Pumper vehicle(s) inspected: TRUCK LICENSE PLATE # VIN # TANK CAPACITY (gal) KH-6577 5PVNJ8AV9M5T51171 1,400 2) The firm name, town name, phone number, and firm permit number were on both sides of the pumper vehicle. The letters were three (3) inches in height or greater. The lettering was distinguishable and not blocked from view. The lettering on the pumper vehicle meets the requirements of 15A NCAC 13B .0835(b). 3) The tank on the pumper vehicle was made of steel and affixed to the frame of the truck as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(1). 4) The valves appeared to be in working order and closed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(2). Caps present on hose ports. 5) Access ports on tanks appeared to be in good repair and sealed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(3). 6) No leaks noticed from the tank or hose ports. However, some septage was notice on the side bed around the tank for which the flexible hose was laid on. Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a) states “Vehicles used for the transportation of septage shall be operated and maintained to prevent leaks and spills of septage…” Please ensure that there is no septage remaining in the hose that will spill out onto the bed when placed back on the truck. It may be worthwhile to invest in some caps or plugs for the hoses. 7) The pumper vehicle passes inspection. Driver side of pumper vehicle. Passenger side of pumper vehicle.
