Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. Page 1 of 2 t;a Waste Management ENVI RON MENTAL QUALITY ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 0905-CDLF- FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section 1. On June 1, 2016, Solid Waste Section met with Bladen County Staff, Kip McClary and Steve Melson. 2. The site was not walked during this partial inspection. Purpose of site meeting was to do an introduction to the new Solid Waste Inspector and show facility location. N0750 1. The facility's disposal area was less than one acre at the time of the inspection. Ensure that soil cover is applied monthly or when the working face reaches one acre in size, whichever occurs first. 2. Continue to ensure that surface water is diverted from the working face. 3. It is recommended that the access road around the LCID unit be mowed/maintained to ensure ease of access in the event of a fire or other emergency. 4. The potential to convert the Notification to a Permit was discussed during the inspection. Please contact your permitting engineering or hydrogeologist with the Solid Waste Section to further discuss actions and requirements for obtaining a permit.
