1. On June 1, 2016, Solid Waste Section met with Bladen County Staff, Kip McClary and Steve Melson.
2. The site was not walked during this partial inspection. Purpose of site meeting was to do an introduction to the
new Solid Waste Inspector and show facility location.
N0750
1. The facility's disposal area was less than one acre at the time of the inspection. Ensure that soil cover is applied
monthly or when the working face reaches one acre in size, whichever occurs first.
2. Continue to ensure that surface water is diverted from the working face.
3. It is recommended that the access road around the LCID unit be mowed/maintained to ensure ease of access in
the event of a fire or other emergency.
4. The potential to convert the Notification to a Permit was discussed during the inspection. Please contact your
permitting engineering or hydrogeologist with the Solid Waste Section to further discuss actions and
requirements for obtaining a permit.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report.
