STATUS OF PERMIT:
The Permit to Operate shall expire August 01, 2020. Pursuant to Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0201(g), no later than
February 03 , 2020, the permittee must submit a request to the Section for permit renewal.
PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT:
Partial Inspection
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: NA
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: None
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The facility is permitted to receive non -hazardous solid waste from Bladen, Brunswick, Columbus,
Cumberland, Duplin, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, New Hanover, Pender, Robson, Sampson, and Scotland
counties.
2. Records were not review during this partial inspection.
3. Windblown waste was well managed at the time of inspection.
4. Scrap tires are collected in transfer trailers until transport to recycler.
5. Facility operates a scrap metal and white goods recycling area.
6. Firefighting equipment is present at the transfer facility. Directly across the drive from the tip floor is a one
inch water hose available for fire suppression.
7. Ensure that erosion control measures are being maintained on site.
8. The area just before the tip floor appeared to have been recently washed or wet due to heavy rain, ensure water
that escapes the collection system is not leachate. Cleaning and maintenance of the floor area and drains will
help ensure any leachate is captured by the collection system.
9. The push walls should be cleaned on top and behind at the end of each work day, continue to do a good job
cleaning each day.
