STATUS OF PERMIT:
This is a Notified site. The property is located and described in Deed Book 631, Page 286, Hertford County.
Notifications for yard waste sites must be submitted each year by June 1st.
PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT:
Comprehensive inspection

The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1. This is the town of Murfreesboro's active yard waste site. The old site is still Notified, as the yard waste is
naturally degrading.

2. The leaves were kept in their own separate windrow.
3. There was very little unacceptable waste observed in the windrows. The unacceptable waste that is at the site
must be removed.
4. Permanent, easily visible markers must be established at the site to mark the under 2 acre location for
yard waste. This has been commented on before and markers must be established to show the possible
boundaries of waste and keeping it under two acres.
5. There is at least a 25 foot access around the site and there is space between the windrows for emergency
vehicle access.
6. The site appeared to be well managed.
