Dear Jaclynne,
Attached are the results from the May 26, 2021, quarterly methane monitoring at the above -referenced facility for
your files. As shown on the attached Landfill Gas Monitoring Data Form, methane was detected in compliance
monitoring point LFG-2A above the lower explosive limit (LEL) during the second quarterly methane monitoring
event. A verification event was conducted on June 2, 2021 and confirmed the initial LEL exceedance at LFG-2A.
This letter serves as a notification to the Department as required under 15A NCAC 13B .0544(d)(3)(A).
A Landfill Gas Remediation Plan will be submitted within 60 days per 15A NCAC 13B .0544(d)(3)(C). Based on
the close proximity of a surface water feature and the fact that no structures are present in the area, no other
actions are warranted at this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at 336 852-4903.
