The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and
any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1. This site is located on an existing N.C. Department of Transportation materials stockpile yard. Visited site and
observed that a gate is in place at the entrance to the site to prevent unauthorized access, as required.
2. Observed a large amount of processed wood at the site. The material needs to be less than 6,000 cubic yards of
processed and unprocessed waste at the site.
3. Observed that the official limits of the T&P area are not readily identifiable. Take actions to mark the limits of the
T&P area using substantial, permanent or semi -permanent markers that are easily visible to site operators or other
persons visiting the facility.
4. Observed appropriate waste types at the site. Take actions to consolidate all processed and unprocessed waste in
the designated T&P area.
5. Grade land surfaces such that storm -water runoff is diverted away from the designated T&P area.
