STATUS OF PERMIT:
The Permit to Construct and Operate a Permanent Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility was issued on June
5, 2006. The permit will be subject to review every five years in accordance with policy memoranda or rules governing
the collection of HHW in effect at the time of review.
PURPOSE OF AUDIT:
Comprehensive Audit
NOTICE OF VIOLATION(S):
None
You are hereby advised that, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for
each violation of the Solid Waste Statute or Regulations. For the violation(s) noted here, you may be subject to enforcement actions
including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such
further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

AREAS OF CONCERN AND COMMENTS:
1. The facility is permitted to receive household hazardous waste generated within Mecklenburg County by residents
and conditionally exempt small quantity generators.
2. Mecklenburg County contracts with ECFLO to manage the facility.
3. The facility was well managed. No unacceptable material was observed.
4. Reviewed the permit, operations plan, contingency plan, health and safety plan, tonnage records, customer
registration forms, material characterization forms and records for waste shipped -off site for disposal.
5. 28,512 pounds of waste was accepted in April 2008.
