The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 – This site is recorded in the Hertford County Register of Deeds Book 708, Pages 99 (7) and 100. Document # 301695. Stamped and signed on December 30, 2008.
02 – Facility has a locking gate for security and there is a V-ditch on the road frontage to prevent access to the facility. 03 – Facility has adequate signage. Contact name may need to be changed. This will be discussed with Chip Rose. 04 – There was a pile of untreated lumber and plywood noted on the side of the landfill that needs to be removed. 05 – Since the 2014 inspection, there have been changes inside of the company. John to schedule a meeting with Chip Rose to meet onsite. 06 – The landfill was small and had been covered with earthen material. 07 – This report has been generated late and entered into the State Data Base (Laserfiche & Apex) on May 24, 2021. Thought it had already been done. 08 – Another site inspection will be conducted along with Chip Rose to ensure compliance has been met. 09 – A message has been left on May 24, 2021 for Chip Rose to call John College at 919-268-1524. A link to get a copy of this report will be emailed to Chip Rose. 10 – Overall facility looks good. 11 – Digital pictures were taken during this inspection and some are attached to this report.
