Land Clearing and Inert Debris Landfill Notification approval letter dated February 28, 1996 was issued from the SWS to John Morris. Current status of Land Clearing and Inert Debris Landfill Notification is OPEN PURPOSE OF AUDIT: Update Compliance Audit (to ensure that the Land Clearing and Inert Debris (LCID) Landfill is in compliance with 15A North Carolina Administrative Code (NCAC) 13B .0563, .0564, and .0566). NOTICE OF VIOLATION(S): None You are hereby advised that, pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day maybe assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Statute or Regulations. For the violation(s) noted here, you may be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None FACILITY COMPLIANCE AUDIT REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 AREAS OF CONCERN AND COMMENTS: On August 20, 2009, John Patrone conducted an update compliance audit of the Land Clearing and Inert Debris Landfill located on Dennis Road in Germanton, Forsyth County. 1. The Morris Brothers Landscaping LCID landfill is no longer in operation. 2. Morris Brothers Landscaping had used the LCID landfill for its business. 3. The LCID landfill has been covered with > 1 foot of soil and the slopes have been graded such that no indication of erosion or runoff was observed. 4. Mr. Morris was reminded to maintain required setbacks as per 15A NCAC 13B .0564. 5. The LCID landfill is required to have sufficient vegetative ground cover. Mr. Morris stated that the landfill has been seeded but much of the grass has yet to emerge due to drought conditions. He stated that the area (cap and slopes) will be reseeded. 6. The logs stored on -site have been removed. 7. Mr. Morris stated that mulch stored on -site (for use by Morris Brothers Landscaping) shall be regularly turned. 8. Mr. Morris stated that he would like to closeout the LCID landfill with the SWS. Mr. Morris will be mailed the LCID landfill closure procedure documents.
