Partial Facility Compliance Inspection without records review
STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:
None applicable
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
No violations were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection; please see the ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
section below.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1) This Facility is a closed MSW Landfill with a Temporary Disaster Debris Staging Site on the property.
2) This Facility is recorded with the Jones County Register of Deeds at: Book #218; Page #367.
3) This Facility is secured by a locked gate at the facility entrance. The gate was closed and locked upon my
arrival and no Jones County personnel were on-site during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
4) Proper signage is posted at the Facility entrance.
5) The Facility access road is of all-weather construction and is being well maintained at this time.

6) Permanent, highly visible, edge-of-waste markers delineating the waste disposal footprint are being
maintained as required.
7) A cover crop of native warm season grasses has been established throughout the landfill. The landfill cover
crop is mowed throughout the year as needed.
8) Areas of sparse/bare cover were observed in various places around the landfill. *Please seed and mulch these
areas to establish a groundcover suitable to prevent erosion of your landfill cap system.
9) Some small trees and other woody vegetation were observed growing throughout the landfill. Some of the
trees have recently been cut down. *Please continue working to remove all trees and woody vegetation from
the entire landfill and ensure the landfill is mowed regularly to prevent the germination and establishment of
this type of vegetation on the landfill.

10) No areas of erosion or off-site erosion were observed during this Facility Compliance Inspection.
11) The Facility monitoring wells were reviewed. All wells were readily accessible, properly labeled, and secured
with functioning locks.
12) Unpermitted waste consisting of vegetative debris and demolition debris was observed dumped at the Facility.
*Please remove all unpermitted waste that has been dumped at the landfill and transport it to a Facility
permitted to receive such wastes.
