NOTES:
1. Clear sight triangle along fence line at Right of Way at entrance road 75 feet each way, measured
from edges of entrance drive roadway.
2. Refer to Erosion Control plan. Install all erosion control devices and features immediately upon
initiating construction.
3. Borrow soils for backfill shall be dewatered, excavated, stockpiled and allowed to dewater before
placpment as structural fill.
4. Borrow soils shall be obtained from borrow pit west of project site. Contractor shall coordinate
use of borrow area with Vance County Landfill Supervisor.
5. Refer to Project Details Sheet C-6 =PAVEMENT SCHEDULE- for pavement and roadway sections.
6. Scales shall be installed in accordance with concrete and reinforcement details of shop drawing
S10-3-15 for a 60 feet Electronic Low Profile Scale, byUniBridge, Section A.
NOTE - Scale foundations shall be prepared in advance in order to receive the Scales from
the Vance County Landfill. The Scales shall be relocated to the Transfer Station and this work
shall be performed on a weekend. Contractor shall give Vance County two weeks notice.
It is anticipated that the scales will not be available to relocate until the middle of December 1997.

CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
1. Review approved Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, maintain a copy of plan on site and follow the
approved Erosion Control Plan.
2. Obtain other applicable permits,
3. Install temporary construction entrance.
4. Clear and grub site. Install temporary diversion ditches and silt fences as clearing progresses.
5. Proceed to rough grade site. Remove and stockpile topsoil to a location indicated on he plans.
Install sediment fencing around the downstream side of the topsoil stockpiling area.
6. Construct building retaining walls, slabs and place subgrade to pavement to elevations indicated on
7. fplans. Construct and stabilize side slopes with vegetation.
n1s tall all gravel drives and parking areas on the facility.
8. Complete final grading of site, Permanently seed all disturbed and landscaped
areas in accordance with Seeding No. 1P Practice - Standards and Specifications in APPENDIX.
9. All erosion and sediment control practices will be inspected weekly and after each rainfall event.
Repair as necessary to maintain originalworkingorder.
10. Upon completion at construction and once site is stabilized, remove temporary sediment
traps, silt fencing, diversion ditches and other temporary erosion control measures.
11. Install permanent vegetation 'on the remaining disturbed areas.
-CONSTRUCTION NOTES
1. All land shown on this drawing west of NC Highway 39 is owned by Herman Davis.
The borrow area and the proposed Transfer Station lands are leased from Herman Davis.
Vance County leases the borrow area. Waste Industries, Inc. is leasee of the Transfer
Station land including egress.
2. Disturbed area calculates 2.97 acres.
