Hey Jackie,
In accordance with your April 20, 2020 letter regarding the Initial Sediment Boil Evaluation at the subject site, I am
providing the requested monthly update via this email.
2-25-21 Cap and Boil Inspection Performed
Due to recent rainfall, an inspection of the sediment boil area (and other parts of the cap) were inspected by RJRT. No
signs of any activity related to the boil area were observed. The silt fencing was still in place. A small amount of clear
water was seeping from the cap surface in an area near the sediment boil. A normal amount of clear water was coming
through the bank and anchor trench drains and entering the sediment pond. A couple of trees had fallen across the
access road and onto the edge of the landfill. These tree are to be removed as soon as the weather allows. No other
problems were found with the cap.
3-8-21 Inspection bV Susan Heim of NCDEQ Scheduled
Susan Heim (NCDEQ) and Max Hopkins (RJRT) will inspect the landfill on 3-23-21.
3-17-21 Received ERM Proposal for Electronic Leak Locating Survey
Currently making arrangements with ERM to proceed with the planned work. ERM will be contacting BLE very soon to
schedule the planned survey work.
