OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: 1) The town name of Raleigh, NC was observed to be around 2.75 inches in height on both sides of the pumper vehicle. Rule .0835 (b) requires that each letter of the firm name, town name, phone number, and firm permit number be no less than (3) three inches in height. The town name of Raleigh, NC is in violation of this Rule. The letters for the town name need to be redone so that there are at least 3 inches in height. When completed, please take pictures of both sides of the vehicle to show that the town name is now at least 3 inches in height. When taking the pictures, please have a ruler by the letters to show the height. The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1) Pumper vehicle(s) inspected: TRUCK LICENSE PLATE # VIN # TANK CAPACITY (gal) KF4428 5PVNJ8JV2L5S80314 1,500 2) The pumper vehicle had the firm name, town name, phone number, and firm permit number on both sides of the vehicle. Every letter of the firm name, phone number, and firm permit number was at least (3) inches in height. The letters for the town name was around 2.75 inches in height. The letters for the town name need to be redone so that they are at least 3 inches in height. When completed, please take pictures of both sides of the vehicle to show that the town name is now at least 3 inches in height. When taking the pictures, please have a ruler by the letters to show the height. Please email the pictures to chester.cobb@ncdenr.gov. 3) The tank is made of steel and affixed to the frame of the truck as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(1). 4) The valves appeared to be in working order and closed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(2). Caps present on ports. 5) Access ports were properly sealed with lids that were closed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a)(3). 6) No leaks noticed as per 15A NCAC 13B .0835(a).
