ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. The Septage Land Application Site consists of Field 1 (13.8 acres), Field 2 (18.6 acres) and Field 3 (12.6 acres).
2. The site is permitted for land application of domestic septage and grease trap pumpings.
3. The site had accessible all-weather roads to the septage land application fields covered under the permit.
4. Appropriate signage was displayed at the entrance to the fields. The fields are also protected by a metal gate. 5. All fields had disposal area boundaries that were delineated with permanent markers which corresponded to the site map. Current Set-back/buffer requirements appear to have been met. 6. All of the fields were in fair but improving condition at the time of inspection. Re-seeding has been done with the continuation of repairs as needed. On March 30, 2020, a permit revision was issued that contained the
following provision: “The 45-acre site shall maintain a cropping system of rye/ryegrass and sorghum/sudan and is divided into three
fields known as Field 1 (13.8 acres), Field 2 (18.6 acres) and Field 3 (12.6 acres). The 30-day waiting period between the last application of septage and the harvest of the crop shall be met by alternating septage applications, the waiting period and the harvest of the crop between the three permitted disposal fields. All
discharges shall occur within the permitted area and shall be consistent with the crop rotation in the approved plan.” 7. No objectionable odors were observed. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report.
