STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS:

OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
15A NCAC 13B .0835(b) All permitted septage management firm shall display lettering on each side of every pumper
vehicle operated by the firm. The lettering shall include the firm name, town name, phone number, and the septage
management firm permit number as shown on the firm application. All lettering required by this Rule on the pumper
vehicle shall be no less than three inches in height and legible, distinguishable from the background, and not obstructed
from view. Inspected the new vehicle, TAG#KE-7640, VIN#1FVACXCY2EHFN8213, 1800 gallons capacity. The
town name (Clayton) is less than three inches in height on both sides of the vehicle. Correct the town name on both
sides of the vehicle at three inches or greater. Submit a photo of the corrected lettering on both sides of the vehicle
by December 31st. It was also noted that the “LLC” in the firm name on both sides of the vehicle is also less than three
inches in height. The firm name can be changed on the firm renewal application (to be submitted this month) to not
include the “LLC” - which would then bring the firm name on this vehicle into compliance.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The tank was structurally sound & securely attached on the new vehicle, tag#KE-7640. The outlet covers were
on and no drips/leaks were noted. This new vehicle can be used for septage pump jobs when the town name
has been corrected and the Raleigh Central office has received payment for a second vehicle.
2. Also looked at an older vehicle which was inspected in 2013. Tag#YA113444, 3000 gallons capacity,
VIN#1M2P267Y7PM014340. The tank appears structurally sound & securely attached. The outlet covers were
on and no drips/leaks were noted. However, it was noted that the permit number is slightly less than three
inches at this time.
3. Discussed with Mr. Hebert the required info to be maintained on the truck pumping log – did not review the
logs at this time. I gave Mr. Hebert an example log & my business card. Mr. Hebert stated that he had been to a
continuing education class in June and that he was currently working on the firm permit renewal.
