PURPOSE OF INSPECTION:
To ensure the Transfer Station and its operation is in compliance with 15A North Carolina
Administrative code 13B .0402
VIOLATIONS NOTED (citation and explanation):
None
COMMENTS /SUGGESTIONS:
Some waste had gone over the side push wall adjacent to the loading area.
Some wind blown paper and plastic in the grass and around backside of transfer building

County staff participating in the transfer inspection:

Date of Inspection: May 15, 2001
Purpose of Inspection: To ensure the transfer station and its operation is in
compliance with 15A North Carolina Administrative Code
13B .0402
Violations Noted: 15A North Carolina Code 13B .0402 (7) states At the
conclusion of each day of operation all windblown
material resulting from the operation shall be collected and
returned to the area by the owner or operator.
To correct this violation, the staff at the transfer station, at
the end of the day should clean up the wind blown trash,
from that day's operation and return it to facility.
Comments and Suggestions A.) Yardwaste area looks good. Wood was recently
ground.
B.) White goods/scrap metal area was in good condition. It
was noted that several tires had recently been pulled from
the pile.
C.) Tire recycling area was clean. Tires were being placed
into the trailers. No tires were on the ground.
D.) Truck loading bay area needs better cleaning.
E.) Operational records are in good shape.
