MEMO TO: Julian Foscue
FROM: Jim Patterson Q"
SUBJECT: Closure Inspection
Kimberly Clark -Berkley Mills Landfill (Permit #45-02)
Henderson County
I conducted closure inspections at the Berkley Mills Landfill on December 30, 1992
and on June 2, 1993.
The inspection on December 30 was to detmine if adequate final soil cover had been
placed over waste. All 24 borings (plat of bore ocations attached) revealed final soil cover
to be at least 24 inches.
The June 2 inspection was conducted to verify that the site had been stabilized with
grass and properly drained. I found the site to have adequate vegetation and no problems
with drainage were evident.
This site received no waste a4r October, 1991; consequently, no soil permeability
testing is necessary.
If further information is needed, please advise.
