The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. The facility consists of a Notified Yard Waste Facility approved for the collection of yard trash only as described in
the approved Yard Waste Notification — New Facility Form.
2. Vegetative waste will be ground on -site and stored prior to distribution to the public.
3. A chain was located at the entrance to the facility to prevent unauthorized access.
4. The facility is not open to the general public for disposal of yard trash and is only used by the Town of Landis. The
town provides curb side collection of yard trash for residents.
5. The site is in compliance with all buffer requirements.
6. Please be aware that 15A NCAC 13B .1402(e)(6)(A) states: "Small Type 1 facilities shall have an operations
area less than two acres in size and shall be limited to no more than 6,000 cubic yards of material onsite at
any given time, including finished product."
7. Yard waste renewal forms must be submitted by June 1" of each year per 15A NCAC 13B .1402(g)(1)(A).
