ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: 01 - Facility has locking gate for security. 02 - Signage is posted at the entrance. Need to add contact number in the event of an emergency as was noted on
the last inspection report. 03 - Roads are made of all-weather materials. All paved area. 04 - Compost is kept in windrows and temperatures were checked during this inspection using John College’s probe. 05 - The compost windrow probed is the same windrow that was there on the last inspection. Turned today. 06 - Temperatures on the front third was 132 – 136 degrees. Middle area was 120 – 128 degrees and the last third was 120 – 130 degrees. 07 - Tarboro has purchased a temperature probe and has been keeping records. 08 - Records not reviewed due to a fire that burned the truck they were in. New records Started. 09 - Fire lanes are present for firefighting equipment in the event of a fire. 10 - Staff has done a good job on sorting out non-conforming waste. 11 - John College spoke with staff about using multiple windrows for easier management or to mark areas with
signs to know where the temperature recordings are taken that will coincide with the temperature records.
12 - Overall finished/working product looked good on the windrow. 13 - Digital pictures were not taken during this inspection. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding this inspection report.
