Attention: Mr. D.V. Pearson
Subject: July 28, 1989, 1st Quarter Report, Greensboro Junction
Tank Farm, Greensboro, N.C., Incident #3893
Dear Mr. Pearson:
This letter concerns the subject report as received by our
office on August 2, 1989.
The report has been reviewed and as indicated by the
laboratory results it appears that the remedial actions that were
undertaken have been fairly successful. However, before the
remedial activities can be discontinued a second quarterly
sampling event is requested.
This should include soil samples collected from several
different locations and at varying depths, several of which
should exceed 18 inches. These samples should not be collected
from the original "test pit" areas.
All samples are to be tested using the same methods used
during the first quarterly sampling period.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact John
Stewart or me at the letterhead address or telephone number.
Sincerely,
/ 1
Stephen Williams
