SUBJECT: Close-out, Colonial Pipeline Company; Incident #3893,
Guilford County
In response to the request for a close-out of the subject
incident, a review of the data supplied with the request and contained
within the incident file and of information supplied by you over the
telephone was conducted. Based on these data, it is indicated that
contamination resulting from the overfilling of tank #812 at the
Greensboro Junction Tank Farm was confined to the soil and residuum
comprising the vadose zone and has been remediated. Therefore, it is
considered that the incident is closed -out.
