FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1) This facility is located at the site of permitted Septage Land Application Site, SLAS-79-04. This facility has three metal tanks but only the center 10,000-gallon tank is in use. The 15,000-gallon tank on the left (looking towards the tanks from the access road) was previously observed to be leaking from the bottom of the tank. The 15,000-gallon tank on the right (looking towards the tanks from the access road) has a hole along the back-corner seam. See previous inspections for details. 2) The “No Trespassing” signage present. 3) The access road to the detention facility was in good shape. 4) Some vegetation growing up around the tanks. Need to keep a five (5) feet area clear of vegetation or debris around the tanks for access and inspection as per Rule 15A NCAC 13B .0838(i). 5) The 10,000-gallon metal tank appeared to be structurally sound. No leaks noticed. All septage will need to be removed from the two – 15,000 gallons tanks. 6) Septage transfers to and from the facility appear to comply with the Septage Rules. No septage spills noticed. 7) No odor or vector issues noticed. 0BThree steel tanks present at facility. 1BVegetation growing up around tanks.
