DATE AND TIME OF FIRE: 03-22-2020 @ 1:00 PM
HOW WAS THE FIRE REPORTED AND BY WHOM:
Local fire chief contacted facility personnel about smoke on the hill.
LIST ACTIONS TAKEN:
1. Extinguished fire using water from site's water truck.
2. Removed surface layer of waste and placed on top of soil cover. Extinguished waste with water and soil cover.
3. Removed tipper from fire in working face and extinguished fire on tipper using water.
3. Applied soil cover over trash in areas away from fire to prevent spreading.

WHAT WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE:
DESCRIBE AREA, TYPE, AND AMOUNT OF WASTE INVOLVED:
Fire consumed approximately 25,000 sf of MSW waste in the working face. Waste was covered with Posi-Shell ADC and tarps.
Fire also consumed approximately 5 acres of excelsior matting on the south slope of Cells 1A/113.
WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO PREVENT THIS FIRE:
Mean trash from under tipper or place barrier around tipper to prevent trash from accumulating under tipper.
DESCRIBE PLAN OF ACTIONS TO PREVENT FUTURE INCIDENTS:
At the end of each work day, ensure there is no trash under tipper.
