AREAS OF CONCERN AND COMMENTS:
1. This is an LCID Landfill permitted to accept land clearing waste, yard trash, untreated and unpainted wood and
inert debris such as rock, brick, concrete, concrete block and uncontaminated soil. No unacceptable material was
observed during the audit.
2. The service area is Swain County.

3. The landfill is located adjacent to the closed MSW landfill (Permit No. 87-01). An audit report is detailed in a
separate form.
4. The entrance to the landfill is blocked by a gate. In order to gain entrance, customers must first go to the Swain
County Transfer Station to get weighed and gain access to the facility.
5. A bulldozer was on site and in operation covering waste with soil.
7. The access road was well maintained.
