Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Hello Ms. Trudy, Tommie told me about the complaint. contaminated soils were excavated with excavator and loaded directly into dump trucks on 4/16, 4/17 and one small load on 4/21. This method is used at most sites and prevents spread of contamination. Clean backfill was dumped on Mr. Fridell's driveway during the site activities on 4/16 and 4/17. The backfill was moved behind Mr. fridells house on the grass for later use. The driveway is adjacent to Ms. Richardsons property. The driveway on 4/21 was swept to remove the clay residual. During the course of site activities I had no contact with Ms. Richardson. On Thursday 4/23, the landscaper replaced sod and completed some landscaping activities. Afterwards he probably did some cleanup in the driveway also. On Friday 4/24, 1 was onsite rebuilding Mr. Luthers fence when Ms. Richardson voiced her concern about the dust. I told her the dust was from clean backfill and that it was not contaminated and safe. So iam not sure if she was upset at us or the landscaper. Dust suppression is a good idea but wasn't used because it creates a storm water runoff issue in city environments. Please let us know if we need to do anything else on this complaint. Thanks Corey.
