ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
1. Inspected site at the request of Mr. Paul Jones in regards to the status of Field 1 which is currently inactive due
to extensive timbering that occurred in early 2014. Noted some pine trees of adequate height but there
appears to significant gaps in the spacing of the pine trees (particularly on the south side of the
field/furthest from the houses) which does not appear to provide sufficient density of pine trees for land
application. Unsure if other vegetation is hiding smaller pine trees or if additional tree planting in gap areas is
needed.
2. Field 2 is currently inactive due to exceeding the maximum application rate in 2017 & 2018. Noted some work
had been done to remove understory growth in some areas. Work should continue to remove the excessive
vegetation among the pine trees in this field and driving lanes should remain open. Any gap areas should be
replanted with additional pine trees.
3. Field 3 (the new area that was added in May) is the only active area and land application discharges were noted.
Site specifics & field markers need to be reviewed this fall and the site shall be GPS’d again for a more accurate
site map.
4. Soil samples shall be taken this fall by the permit holder. If the permit holder has not already attended a training
class in 2020 please contact the two associations for current info regarding upcoming class locations.
5. The required signs are posted and the access road is adequate.
