In this location, all incoming leaf collection material from 2017, will be placed in a windrow. Seasonal leaf collection will begin on November 6tn • The Yard Waste Center will procure needed equipment to screen material from stockpiles 1 and 2. In conjunction to screening the stockpiles, an evaluation will be conducted to better Improve the sites operational layout, allowing material to be processed more efficiently. • Stockpile 1 will be screened first. The mulch material will be collected on the paved area and sold. The fines and overs (material too large for mulch) will be collected to be placed in windrows for composting. • After stockpile 1 is screened, the operational area closest to the paved pad south of the scale house will be graded to improve drainage. Once this area is graded, the screened fines and overs from stockpile 1 will be placed in windrows along with a mixture of fresh incoming material for compost production. • The Yard Waste Center will begin screening the material from stockpile 2. The mulch material will be collected in stockpiles that meet the permit requirements and sold. The fines and overs will be placed in windrows along with a mixture of fresh incoming material for composting. During the screening of stockpile 2, the material will be removed in a pattern that will leave multiple stockpiles that individually, will meet the permitted requirements. • Material from the leaf stockpile will be added to windrows during construction of the rows. This initial evaluation and screening of the stockpiles will be conducted over a two month period beginning in February 2018.
