If you have received this email in error, please destroy it and notify the sender immediately.   From: David Lambert   Sent: Wednesday, June 3, 2020 1:20 PM  To: Stanley, Sherri <Sherri.Stanley@ncdenr.gov>  Subject: Moore County burning permit.    Ms. Stanley,    I am attaching some information regarding permission to burn—but I thought that I would just email you directly to limit  confusion—or any misunderstandings.  I appreciate your review.     General Information and Fire monitoring:  We are looking to burn approximately 12 acres of land clearing debris  (no mulch or other vegetative materials) at the  landfill on 456 Turning Leaf Way. Moore County is contracting with Cole Excavating to complete the work.  They will also  be assisting with the fire.  Jason Cole is a principal and will be doing the work for clearing and fire monitoring.  He is a  firefighter with the Pinehurst Police Department and also served as its chief for a number of years.  He has conducted  several burns in the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen area within the last 10 years or so.  We expect the work to  begin in June and the burning to occur in July.  We discussed with the contractor and we will not be burning during dry  conditions.      I have checked with Air Quality—there is no further action needed form them.  Please see attached email.   Moore County Fire Marshall‐ Bryan Phillips (Fire Marshall) has approved the burn   I have attached two permits from the NC Forestry Service. One was issued on 5/4 (for dates between 5/4 and  6/2)  The second was issued on 6/3 for dates (6/3 through 7/2).    I anticipate that I will do a third permit to  cover all of July.  The simple and immediate permitting process for the Forestry service only allows you to get a  permit for the next 30 days.  We will not burn on days not covered by this permit.   We will be providing public notice to adjacent properties and in a press release.  We will also include an insert in  the bills from the Moore County weigh station.    I think it was determined by the SWM that gas monitoring would not be necessary.       Best,     David Lambert,J.D., M.P.A Solid Waste Director | Moore County p: 910.947.4318 f: 910.947.1992 e: dlambert1@moorecountync.gov Post Office Box 1927 Carthage, NC 28327-1927 www.moorecountync.gov/public- works/solid-waste [moorecountync.gov] [facebook.com]     4 Moore County is subject to North Carolina Statutes relating to public records.
