No violations observed.

The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance
with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an
administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit,
or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and
any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
1. The facility is permitted to receive clean, untreated, and unpainted wood waste for use as ground mulch.
The facility is also permitted to receive painted wood waste and engineered or manufactured wood
waste for use in industrial fiber products.
L Treatment and processing area is kept under the permitted 0.5 acres.
3. Observed clear and drivable areas around storage piles in case of fire.

4. Wood stockpiles are kept under permitted dimensions of 30 feet high and 50 feet wide.
5. No ground mulch is currently being processed. All wood waste is ground and directly fills a trailer. It
was stated that around twelve trailers are filled each week, and wood is used for industrial purposes.
5. A security gate is present and utilized. The perimeter of the facility is secured by fence and berms.
7. Assembled and disassembled wooden pallets were observed piled in separate areas depending on stage
of processing.
8. No standing water was observed in contact with waste. Water runoff is diverted in a controlled manner.

9. No unacceptable waste was observed at facility. No vector pests observed.
10. Access road and interior roadways are well maintained and are of all-weather construction. Observed
signage posted at facility entrance stating name, permit number, address, and emergency contact
information.

11. No fugitive dust emissions or windblown materials were observed. The grinder was being repaired
during the inspection.
12. A copy of the Permit to Operate was available upon request.
