FACILITY COMPLIANCE INSPECTION REPORT Division of Waste Management Solid Waste Section Page 2 of 2 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. Inspected the vehicle in regards to the initial firm permit. Tag & VIN numbers were correct per the firm application. The tank appears structurally sound & securely attached. Outlet covers were on and no drips/leaks were noted. The lettering was correct on both sides of the vehicle per info on the submitted application, however some of the numbers in the permit number (located on the curve of the tank) were barely 3” in height. Mr. Scott stated that he would replace some of these marginal numbers. 2. Mr. Scott stated that he had the example truck log to maintain the required information for all septage pump jobs. Mr. Scott needs to attend a continuing education class before the end of this year, for the 4 firm hours required for the firm permit renewal this winter. Instructed Mr. Scott to reach out to the NC Septic Tank Association & the NC Pumper Group for class locations in the coming months (due to COVID 19 some classes have been rescheduled). 3. Enclosed is information regarding the permit process for a septage land application site.
