None
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
On June 23, 2020 and June 30, 2020 Chuck Kirchner met with Tim McQueen to conduct a closure inspection of the
Ozone Waste Solutions Medical Waste Treatment Facility located on West Friendly Avenue in Greensboro, Guilford County. 1. The facility is a medical waste treatment and processing operation consisting of an ozonator. 2. The facility PTO expired on March 25, 2019. 3. Ozone Waste Solutions has opted not to renew the permit and close the medical waste treatment and processing operation down. 4. The facility will still use the office space as a pharmaceutical shipping office. 5. A refrigerated medical waste truck is parked in front of the facility to transfer medical waste weekly to Covanta in Huntsville, Alabama. 6. The ozonator has not been used since May 18, 2016.
7. No other medical waste treatment methods were utilized at this facility. 8. On June 23, 2020, an on-site facility inspection was conducted. A small amount of treated medical waste material was observed in the roll-away container. 9. A follow-up email with photographs was provided to the Solid Waste Section on June 27, 2020 showing all medical waste material was removed from the roll away container. 10. The small amount of medical waste material removed from the container was sent off for incineration according
to Mr. McQueen. 11. On June 30, 2020, the facility was re-inspected and no medical waste material was observed on site. 12.
