2020. PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Comprehensive Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: NA OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: NA
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to
enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any
such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS 1. The purpose of this site visit was to conduct a comprehensive facility inspection. Permit was expired at time
of inspection. Apply for renewal immediately and stop taking loads to this site until permit renewal is approved. 2. Excellent sign at entrance to facility. 3. No unacceptable waste was observed at the time of this inspection. 4. Edge of waste markers were clearly visible. 5. Slopes looks good. 6. Edge of Waste markers were in place and visible.
7. Waste in older cells seemed covered well and no standing water. 8. Just few recent loads onsite at current working face. Remember to cover in 30 days or when reaches one acre. 9. Vegetation established on LCID, looks good. There are a few trees that need to be removed. 10. Mr. Waters indicated this Landfill isn’t used much anymore. He spoke with other staff at Barnhill to begin
renewal process of permit during inspection.

Trees on side of the LF need to be removed. If larger than six-inch diameter, then will need to remove root ball as well.
