Send all suspicious email as an attachment to report.spam@nc.gov Mr. Mize / Mr. Leonard, WithersRavenel is working on an additional site in Franklin County located in Epson (Henderson mailing address) on Highway 39 North on behalf of the NCDEQ, DWM, Federal & State Lead program (NCDEQ Incident #26305). The site (Former Sam Puckett Property) is located at 10 Puckett Trail. The release on the Sam Puckett site is associated with USTs which were located on the property. Groundwater contamination on the site extends to the location of a shallow supply well on the Cherie MacBeth property (8105 NC Highway 39, Henderson, NC – Franklin County Parcel Number 1990-98-0119). The MacBeth property is currently utilizing a point-of-entry system to polish drinking water before use at the location. This site is managed by Mr. Mark Petermann (copied on this message), who has expressed desire to replace the MacBeth supply well with a “rock” well, to provide a reliable, contaminant-free source of drinking water, and so the POE system can be removed and existing well abandoned. This is the strategy that Matt James (WR) and Linda Blalock (NCDEQ) put forward for the Linda Taylor residence not far from this site. Can you advise me what steps I will need to pursue and what permitting (if any) will be required to move forward for the replacement of the MacBeth well. Thank you both in advance for any assistance or direction you can provide.
