Mr. Joe Huffman has requested that his permit for this demo landfill be
cancelled. On April 16, 1985, I made a site visit to the landfill, Mr,
Huffman is not dumping demolition material in this landfill and has pushed
down what he had previously placed there. It is covered with a small amount
of soil and has not been seeded. Mr. B. D. Huffman, property owner, has been
placing mobile homes on part of this site. Mr. Joe Huffman feels it is useless
to seed this area when Mr. B. D. Huffman will be adding more soil to the area
as he increases the mobile home area.
There is other demolition material on the site that was not placed there
by Joe E. Huffman. He has expressed concern about this because he has been
unable to control who has had access to this area.
I advise that we monitor this site to see if final close-out is done
correctly as the filling for mobile homes continues. At that time we could
cancel the permit.
In addition, it may be advisable to contact Mr. D. B. Huffman and advise
him that if he wishes to continue placing demo material on the site that a
permit should be issued in his name.
Please advise how you want me to handle this.
