Hilltop Road Red Springs, NC 28377 PARTICIPANTS: Connie Wylie STATUS OF PERMIT: Active – permit expires July 7, 2022 PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Routine STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: N/A OBSERVED VIOLATIONS: N/A SEE BACK OF PAGE The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules. Excess vegetation is growing up around some of the field posts – remove this excess vegetation from around the posts. There is a cut field post on the back/north side of the site. Also appears to be a missing post on this side of the site. Replace any damaged or missing field posts. This site is managed as one field. 2. The cropstand appears adequate at this time – control weeds in the coming months. 3. No sign of land application outside the permitted boundaries. It appears that the approved setbacks are being met. No sign of heavy or recent application. No odors noted. 4. The required signs are posted and the access road is adequate. 5. An authorization form was submitted for Hunt’s Septic Cleaning to utilize this site in 2020. If this occurs then site logs shall be submitted monthly to this office. 6.
