11. The tire collection area was observed. There were two semi -trailers on site. All tires were in the trailer. The
second trailer is kept in order to have one available when a load is taken to the U.S. Tire facility in Concord,
NC.
12. The transfer station was observed. A loader was being used to push the MSW into the semi -trailer. Only
incidental amounts of banned wastes were observed. The floor was cleared before the end of the audit. No
vectors were observed. The leachate drain across the entrance to the transfer station was observed. The
drain was free of dirt; however, the grating had been removed in order to install a new grate.
