STATUS OF PERMIT:
Notified site, no permit required. Renewal Notification Forms must be submitted by June 1st. every year. PURPOSE OF SITE VISIT: Routine Compliance Inspection STATUS OF PAST NOTED VIOLATIONS: None
OBSERVED VIOLATIONS:
None
The item(s) listed above were observed by Section staff and require action on behalf of the facility in order to come into or maintain compliance with the Statutes, Rules, and/or other regulatory requirements applicable to this facility. Be advised that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 130A-22, an administrative penalty of up to $15,000 per day may be assessed for each violation of the Solid Waste Laws, Regulations, Conditions of a Permit, or Order under Article 9 of Chapter 130A of the N.C. General Statutes. Further, the facility and/or all responsible parties may also be subject to enforcement actions including penalties, injunction from operation of a solid waste management facility or a solid waste collection service and any such further relief as may be necessary to achieve compliance with the North Carolina Solid Waste Management Act and Rules.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS; 01 – Facility has locking gate for security. 02 – Signage posted at gate.
03 – Road is made of all-weather materials (Gravel & Dirt). 04 – Edge of waste markers are installed. 05 – ALL WASTE MUST BE INSIDE OF EDGE OF WASTE MARKERS. SOME IS SLIGHTLY OUTSIDE AND NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED. 06 – Required 25 ft. fire lanes between ALL windrows and surrounding windrows for firefighting equipment in the event of a fire, NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. 07 – Facility still has not turned any of the old windrows to help the processing and/or removal of this waste. 08 – This Inspection Report will be mailed to the Town Administrator due to there is currently no Public Works Director. June 01, 2020, A New Public Works Director will be available.
09 – A follow-up site visit will be conducted after the New Director is available in June, 2020 to discuss issues. 10 – Digital pictures taken during this inspection and some are attached to this report.
